Executive Sous Chef – Full Time

We are seeking a professional and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

As an Executive Sous Chef, you will be responsible to provide support to the Executive  Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and operation.


▪ Oversee kitchen operations for primarily the take out kitchen but also the  restaurant/banquet kitchen

▪ Ensure operations are done in accordance with the organization’s standards

▪ Supervise line cooks, relying on knowledge acquired over the years and in line with  policies of the organization

▪ Provide the all-important training to newly recruited kitchen staff noting progress for  further improvements/training

▪ Ensure proper storage of fresh products and other food items

▪ Maintain consistency and quality in food taste in line with photos and recipes made  available by the organization’s management

▪ Communicate the provisions daily, ensuring perishable items are used up in a timely  fashion minimizing waste

▪ Carry out consistent check-up of coolers to ensure unexpected shortage is avoided

▪ Closely monitor process of food preparation

▪ Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food  products

▪ Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking

▪ Prepare sauces to accompany hot food items

▪ Perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate / take out preparation


▪ Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Chef (3 star Michelin preferred)

▪ Ability to manage and control other members of kitchen staff

▪ Ability to direct and plan food preparation

▪ Readiness to discipline any under-performing kitchen staff

▪ Ability to provide consistent food quality

▪ Proven experience managing a busy kitchen line

▪ Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays
